bitter tension between the Arabs
and Jews in the Middle East.
Diplomatic officials reported Is
rael's ambassador, Abba Eban,
expressed this attitude during a
confidential call Tuesday on Asst.
Secretary of State George Allen,
who is in charge of Middle East
African affairs. j
