of Corvallis and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and1

solemn nuptial high mass by the
Rev. Edward Spear as" deacon
and Rev. John Ilg as subdeacon.
Robert Fronk was master of cere
monies and altar boys were John,
Michael and Daniel Palmer,
brothers, and Anthony Dummer,
cousin of the bride.
Miss Helen Keber played the
organ, SL Mary's choir sang the
mass and Miss Eustelle Bauman
was vocalist " ,
v The bride wore a gown of
white Philippine Jusi cloth, sent
her by friends in Manila. The
long torso bodice with 'long
sleeves and billowy .skirt was
fashioned of Jusi in a rose flow
er design in chiffon-like, texture.
The train formed of twelve yards
. of plain Jusi was spattered with
pearls in lace design. A Juliet !
cap, encrusted with pearls held ,
the short veil of illusion, and ;
ahe carried a simple- spray of i
white Fuji chrysanthemum.
Two Sisters Are Attendants
She was attended only by her
two young 'sisters, Miss Rose1
Palmer as maid of honor in gold
crystallette over satin and Mary
Palmer in tangerine crystallette
as junior bridesmaid. Each wore
a matching headdress adorned
with small chrysanthemums and
carried a bouquet of gold- and
bronze chrysanthemums.
Lawrence Beyer was best man
for his brother and ushers were
Roy Palmer jr., and Robert Bey
er, brothers of the bride and
groom,.' and Roger W'ollensen,
Salem.
Reception Follows Rites
The reception was held in SL
; Mary's dining rooms.
' Hostesses were Mrs. Paul
- Sliffe, Miss Anna and Miss Ter
esa. Duda and assisting at the
: tables and about the rooms were
the Misses Patricia Schmitx,
Carol Wachter, Margie Schwab,

Joan Jaeger, Edith Fessler, Kar
en Smith, Florence Buchholz.

and Diane Dummer, Portland.
Serving the punch were Mrs.
Lawrence Schmidt. Springfield,
Mrs. Vincent Molin, Beaverton,
Mrs. Allan Zimmerman, Salem,
Mrs. Arthur Dummer, Eugene,
and Miss Bernice Jeli and Miss
Doroth Kimlinger, Mt. Angel.
Mrs. Don Schaefer and Miss
Joann Beyer cnt the cake and
the guest book was passed by
Miss Marilyn Beyer and Miss
Arlene Fessler.
Following a honeymoon in Vic
toria, B.C. and Banff, the new
Mr. and Mrs. Beyer will be at
home in Mulino, Oregon after
September 15. -

Announcement was made of the
meeting of the Willamette Valley
Matrons' and - Patrons' Associa
tion to be held in Woodburn on
September 8 with Trinity Chap
ter as co-hostess. Visitors of the
evening were Mr. and Mrs. Cur
tis Hale, of Chadwick Chapter, and
Mrs. Sarah Hadley of Corinne
Chapter in Utah. The decoration
and refreshment committee were
Mrs. C. M. Hixson, Mrs. Wilfred
Wilson and Mrs. Hazel Anderson.
Plans were made for a luncheon
to be held in the Masonic Build
ing at soon on September 14. Mrs.
Clarence Field has charge of the
ticket sales.

ter's maid 'of honor. Wearing a
pale blue gown of lace and net
over taffeta, cascading: net. ruf
fles giving! fitted bodice, and a
tiny hat fashioned of blue velvet
ribbon and net studded with
rhinestones. She carried a bas
ket of iwhite chrysanthemums.
Bridesmaid was' (Mils Peggy
Reiter,! sister of the bride, and
Irene Bernt, niece pt the bride
groom, was flowerj girl. Both
wore pink gowns and bats, iden
tical to those of the honor at
tendant and carried baskets of
white chrysanthemums.

four years in the service after

Oscar Gustafson entertained with
a family dinner at their home on
Aug. 28, jn observance of their
2.1th wedding anniversary. A re
ception followed in the afternoon.
Cutting the cake at the after
noon reception was Mrs. Alice
Mountain and pouring was Miss
Shirlev KarSten. both nieces of
the honored pair.
Mr. and Mrs. Perry Walcher of
Eueene. attendants at the wed
ding of the Gustafsons' 25 years
agar were special guests. Mrs
Walcher is a sister of Mrs. Gus
tafson.

The Gustafsons were married
in Salem, August 30, 1930, coming
to Mt Angel about 10 years ago
when Mr. Gustafson took over
the position of section supervisor
for the Southern Pacific.
