been guests at 'the home of her mother, Mrs. Hubbell Young,

land, N. Y., have come
Mrs. Paul Asmussen and
sons, Christopher and
James, to' visit her parents.
Justice and Mrs. James T.
Brand. Accompanying the
Asmussen family west by
car was Miss Eileen See,
also of Huntington. Mrs.
Asmusserf and Miss See
were honored at a coffee
given by Mrs. Brand last
Tuesday. Later in the week
the Brands and the visitors
left for a vacation " on :the '
Rogue River and Coos Bay,
former home of the Brands.

fortnight have been their son and
family, Mr.' and Mrs. Bruce W.
Carkin and children, John, James
and Susan, of Chagrin, Ohio.
While in Oregon they visited
other relatives in Portland and.
Eugene and spent some time at
the Carkin beach home at Nel

A bride of July 2 was Mrs.
Gerald Don Kelly, the
former Joaiv Romala
Barnes, above, who was
married at a quiet ceremony
in the chapel of the First
Methodist Church in Port
I a n d. The bride is the
daughter of Dr. and Mrs.
Chester A. Downs and Mr.
Kelly is the son of Mr. and
Mis. Thomas W. Kelly. The
newlyweds will live in Sa
lem. (Jesten-Miller Studio).

Flying to Engtand the end
of the inonth will be
Mrs. Donald Wentworth
and son. Stephen, pictured
at the right, who will join
Sergeant Wentworth in
Cranage. They will enplane
for New York on July 23
and vis'rt his parents in East
Hampton, Conn., prior" to
leaving for England. While
Irj Salem Mrs. Wentworth
and son have been at the
home of her mother, Mrs. -,

Visiting In Dallas and Salem are Mrs. Ronald Lymam and two months old daughter, Terr!
Lynne, who flew north last weekend from Tucson, Arizona, to spend a month with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl A. Gerlinger, in Dallas. Lt. lyman has been transferred to Laredo, :
Texas, with the U. S. Air Force and will be joined there later- by his wife and daughter.
