from Palo Alto to spend Thanks
giving. The Livesleys will be

Headed for Coroaade
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis H. Jones left
Saturday for Coronado. Calif., to
spend Thanksgiving week and to
attend the regional tournament of
the American Bridge League. Mr.
and Mrs. Jones will be on the
staff of the bridge league during
the tournament They will also
visit their son-in-law and daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. William Scott, who
live in Reseda while in Southern
California.

ding celebration today of Mr. and
Mrs. Frederick A. Wiggins of
Seattle. The occasion will be ob
served at an informal open house

Club in Seattle between 3 and 7

Frederick ' Wiggins and Myra
Albert were married in Salem on
Nov. 21, 1894 at the First Presby
terian Church by the pastor, the
Rev. Dr. Hutchinson. Their wed
ding reception was held at the
home of the bride's parents, Mr.
and Mrs. John H. Albert on Win
ter and Oak Streets. Mrs. Bruce
Spaulding (Josephine Albert) of
Portland, formerly of Salem, is a
meet ox Mrs. Wiggins.
Mrs. Wiggins will wear her
1894 wedding gown at' today's
reception. At her wedding recep
tion Mrs. Wiggins set her camera
for a flash powder photo. She plac
M toe powder in a pan, with a
paper fuse, then took her place
by her husband.! . . ;
The original print made .from
the glass negative, developed by
the bride, is still good and has
been reprinted and reproduced
for the cut shown on this sale.
Of the twelve persons in the orig
inal wedding photo, which includ
ed the bride's parents, only the
bride and groom are still living.
The couple lived in Salem un
til 1907, when they moved to Top
pemsn, wash., 1 then moving to
Seattle in 1832, where they have
resiaea ever since. ..

Mrs. Wiggins, a well known
artist, began studying art at IS
and later; studied In New York
under famous teachers of that te-

for a total of 67 years and has
taugnt since 1894 over 60 years
which she still continues to do in
her studio in Seattle,
She visited Europe in 1900 and
1904, paying her way chiefly with
her prize winnings in amateur
photography and with her art
classes.
