The honor was announced at the 68th annual convention of the society in San Francisco, William W. Wiley, editor of the stamp ma gazine, reported on his return from the meeting.) Van Dahl founded the Western Stamp Collector at Mill City May 7, 1931, but had moved bis head quarters to Albany many years before his death early this year, Van Dahl is the 39th philatelist to have his picture placed in the hall of fame since the society was founded m 1886. Uhrhammer, ad ministrative principaL He said the total was the highest first-day registration in the history of the school, although the figure rose to 360 during last term.
