NEW YORK (UP) The Philip
Murray Memorial Foundation to
day presented a gift of $200,000
to the National Council of Churches
of Christ in the United States of
America. i ,
The gift from the foundation,
created to honor the memory of
the late president of the CIO and
the United Steel workers of Ameri
ca, was presented by CIO Presi
dent Walter P. Reuther. It was
accepted on behalf of the national
council s by its president Bishop
William C. Martin of Dallas, Tex.
Half of the grant will be used
to assist the. council in financing
