Oakdale Folks here are quite
used to bearing blasting from the
lime quarry but for. the last two
weeks it has come from an added
source. Polk County has been
"
blasting gravel on the Roy Flow
erdew farm for use on construe
tion of the new Oakdale Road. The
road has been completed to just
south of the Al Fletcher home a
distance of about 3 and one fourth
miles.

ence now has one with the arrival
of Dr. Jack Daley.

The Garange Community Fair
will be held at the Grange Hall on
October 9. This is an annual af
fair for all those living in the com
munity. '
Mrs. J. C. Krenz and Mrs. Verny
Scott were appointed to secure a
wedding gift for Mr. and Mrs. Wes
ley Darby, whose marriage took
place recently at Dallas, and wbo
now live at The Dalles.
Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Shaw of the
Macleay Grange were visitors. CpL
and Mrs. Guy Scott who are home
on leave from Ft. Eustis, also at
tended grange.
Mrs. Robert Darrah, lecturer,
was reported to be in the hospital.
Mrs. Noah Hunt, gave a report
on the State Grange meeting held
in Albany in June. .....
