freshments. Miss Gertrude Ache
son, director of the Y.W.C.A. con
ducted the group on. a tour through
the new building.
The guests were Mrs. Virginia
McCall, Long Beach, California,
Miss Una Gleason Washington,
D. C, Miss Donna Beuson, Miss
Genevieve Russell and Mrs. Alice
Edkens.
This was the last meeting of the
group until next fall.

bins, Jr. at 10 o'clock services in
St. Mary's Catholic church Satur
day morning, June 19. The Rev.
Father Clement Frank officiated
at the nuptial mass. The bride
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
William B. Robbins of Silverton.
Miss Helen Keber played the organ
and the soloist was Miss Rosalie
Harpole, cousin of the bride.
The bride wore a gown with
long court train and the fitted
bodice was fashioned of Chantifly
lace over satin with sheer yoke
and long lace sleeves. The triple
skirt of lace over nylon tulle and
satin was enhanced both front and
back with an Inverted V panel of
tulle. Her veil of illusion was fin
gertip length and held by a crown
of lace embellished with pearl
flowers. She carried a cascade
bouquet of white orchids and step
hanotis. She carried a white mo
ther-of-pearl rosary which her
brother brought from Lourdes,
France.
Mrs. Glen Baumgartner of Gene
see,' Idaho was matron of honor
for her sister and bridesmaids
were Dolores Davis, sister of the
groom, Rita Schwann, a cousin of
the bride, and Margaret Duramer.
Susan Baumgartner, niece, was
flower girl. They were gowned a
like in pale yellow nylon sheer shot
with flecks of gold and silver and
styled with fitted bodice, cap
sleeves and full skirts, the brides
maids in ballerina length and the
flower girl in ankle length. All
wore matching Juliet caps, yellow
suppers and carried cascade bou
quets of lavender sweet peas.
The mother of the bride chose a
pink linen suit and pink and white
accessories and Mrs. Robbins
wore a suit of duty rose with navy
accessories. Their corsages were
of baby orchids.
Groom's Attendants
John Payseno stood with the
groom and groomsmen were Ro
bert Robbins, a cousin, and Paul
Buchheit and Art Soderberg. Joe
Van Cleef aiyl Gregory Jacques,
brother and cousin of the bride,
were the ushers.
A reception was held in St
Mary's dining halL Cutting the
six-tiered cake were Mrs. LeLand
Morgan, sister of the groom, and
Mrs. Leo Jacques, aunt of the
bride. Mrs. Rose Gruenfelder and
Mrs. Catherine Robbins, aunts of
the bridal pair, poured. Assisting
were Misses Joan Berberet of
Portland, Ruth Kaiser, Betty Es
perjesi, Portland, Mary and Cath
erine Ilg. Dolores Schultz, and
Irma Kaiser.
After a wedding trip to Calif
ornia, the newiyweds will be at
home at 403 McClaine St, Silver
ton. Before leaving the bride
changed to beige suit with beige
ana avocado accessories.
The bride graduated from Mt.
Angel Academy and attended St
Joseph's School of Nursing at Van
couver, Washington. After his
graduation from Mt Angel Prep
school, the groom spent four years
in the air force and is now em
ployed at his father's mill In Sil-
! verton.

MONMOUTH Mr. and Mrs.
Nicholas Nelson, Monmouth, are
announcing the marriage of their
daughter, Wanda- Rae, to Conrad
Howard, youngest son of Mr. and
f-Mrs. L. B. Howard, Monmouth.
The ceremony took place Satur
day, June 12 at Monmouth EUB
Church in the presence of imme
diate members of both families.

er officiated.
Attending the couple were Mrs.
Robert Ward, sister of the bride,
and John 'Morton Howard, the
groom's brother.
.Both young people were grad
uate from M o n mo u t h High
School. Miss Nelson "received her
bachelor of science degree from
Oregon College of Education this
month. The groom received his
master "of science degree as a
geology major at Oregon State
College in 1953.
Following the ceremony the
couple departed for Elma, Wash
ington, where he will report for
assignment with the Shell Oil
Company as a staff geologist

with wardrobes. Mrs. Drury, who
bas just returned from New York,
wher she completed plans for
manufacturing of her doll and put
ting it on the market, is the origi
