Tuesday :' night at the Masonic
Temple at 6:30 p.m. The Rainbow
Mothers Club and advisory board
are sponsoring the dinner for the
girls. An initiation ceremony and
meeting will follow the dinner.

M'ss Gammon Becomes Bride
Of Robert Purdy on $aturday
Exchanging their vows at ah 8 o'clock ceremony Saturday night
at the First Baptist Church were Miss Lavurne Gammon, daughter
of Mrs. Car! Gammon, and Robert E. Purdy, son of Mrs. J. Edgar
Purdy. 'Dr. Lloyd T. Anderson officiated at the nuptials before a
setting of all white flowers and candles. ,
' - " Miss Cecelia Freeby was the soloist and Gerard C Brown the
violinist with Mrs. John Schmidt

For her wedding the attractive
brunette bride chose a gown- of
French, imported ,lace combined
with white faille. The full lac
skirt was fashioned with a scal
loped redingote with a faille in
set of sunburnt pleats. The stand
up collar and neckline were also
scalloped and the sleeves were
long. Her fingertip illusion veil
was caught to a. half crown ot
orange blossoms. She carried a
bouquet of stephanotis centered
with an orchid. Carl Kliever of
Medford gave his sister-in-law in

Walk Before the Bride
Four attendants preceded the
bride to the altar. Mrs. Evelyne
Bartlett, the honor matron, wore
a rose pink faille taiieta zrock
designed with a scalloped redin
gote style skirt with inset of sun
burst pleats. The bodice was
made with a V neckline and
short sleeves. The bridesmaids.
Miss Mary Polales, Miss Darlene
Engdahl and Miss Phyllis Ahait,
wore identically styled frocks
only of .American Beauty faille
taffeta. They all carried nosegay
pouffs of nylon net and carna
tions In shades of pink and Amer
ican Beauty. -,
James P. Purdy of Seattle
stood with his brother as best
man. Ushers were Pete Reding,
Wayne Rawlings, John Perkins,
Ray Davis and Robert Messing.
For her daughter's wedding
Mrs. .Gammon chose a slate blue
crepe' gown with pink accessories
and corsage of pink camellias
combined with seed pearl loops.
Mrs. Purdy attended her son's
marriage in a navy blue lace
gown with corsage of pink car
nations. I

The newlyweds greeted : th)
guests at a reception in the fire
place room. Pouring were two
sisters of the bride, Mrs. Gerard
C. Brown and Mrs. Carl Kliever
of Medford. Cutting the cake
were Mrs. George Purdy f of
Portland, aunt of the groom, and
Mrs. Lester Knipps of Lakeside,
aunt of the bride. Assisting were
the Misses Carolyn Mishler,
Christine Harada, Jo Ann and
Marcia Smith, Florabelle Gordon,
Sophia Polales, Bonnie Bishop
and Mrs. Ellis Sanders. A string
