Nearly 800 Salem women axe being recruited to assist;
- in the annual drive lor the Marion County chapter of the i
American Red Cross, which opens March 1. The women
are heading the residential division with Mrs. Earl Bout- j
land and Mrs. Ted, Morrison as chairman and co-chairman,
respectively. The I division chiefs .who are pictured on
this page today, except for Mrs. Robert Carey, will hav
captains and block workers assisting throughout the
county. .hi . .-; i'
"People Helping People? is the slogan for the fund
campaign this year, with a goal of $49,000. George W.
Goforth is heading the entire drive for. the county and,
stresses the importance of the blood and disaster pro i
grams for the coming year. Women will be busy in tb ,
week preceding the opening of the month long campaign ,
recruiting workers and distributing supplies and .workers ;
kits.
