been reelected president of the
Peoples Co-Operative Telephone
Co., it was announced this week
following a recent meeting.
Phil Bell was reelected secreta
ry. Hugh Johnston aid Fred Rho
wein were elected directors to
succeed James Land add George

At the business session it was
reported the dial system is work
ing satisfactorily. The i members
voted to assess each telephone
member $5 to help defray the. cost
of the new telephone building. It
was also decided to consolidate
the lines and to have them re
paired. j

they were called by the serious
illness of their father who is 93
years old.
Sheridan Palmer Byrkit Jr.,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Byr
kit, has received his discharge
from the Navy. He returned from
Japan in December and received
his discharge this month in San
Francisco.
Jefferson Mrs. Clarence Mil
ler, assistant postmaster, is ill
with flu, this week. Mrs. Henry
Thiessen is helping at the post
office while she is away.
