At Home to Honor the McKays Distinguished visitors to be in the capital Christmas week are Secretary of the Interior and Mrs. Douglas McKay of Washington, D.C. They are arriving in Salem by train on Dec. 20 and will remain until New Year's. The McKays will be honored at an informal at home for which their two daughters and their husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne E. Hadley and Mr. and Mrs. Lester D. Green, will be hosts on Tuesday evening, jDec. 22. The affair will be held at the Hadley residence on Cross Street No formal invitations are being issued to the party. Friends of the McKays are being invited through the press to call between 7 and 10 o'clock to greet the couple. Christmas Morning Coffee at Brands Justice and Mrs. James T. H. Perry of Port land, and Paul Steven Nieswander Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul S. Nieswander of Salem. It was at 8 o'clock that the Rev. Herbert E. Nottbohm read the service. Gerdau Roeder was the organ ist and lighting the candles were Mrs. Charles Roland Hornecker and Mrs. Joseph Earls Worth. The altar was decorated with white Christmas trees adorned with red balls. Of white, rosepoint lace was the bridal gown, fashioned with a V neckline and long sleeves. The full skirt was enhanced with rows of pleated nylon tulle in back forming a chapel train. She wore an Italian lace veil, which she brought home from Sorento on her European trip last sum mer. She carried a cascade ar rangement of white carnations, bouvardia and a white orchid. Preceding the bride to the altar were five attendants, who wore identical floor length frocks of Christmas red nylon tulle em bellished with lace insets on the bodice. They carried cascade bouquets of white chrysanthe mums, holly and greens. Miss Lorelee Faye Perry was her sis ter's honor maid and brides maids were Mrs. William E. Bis- sell (Shirley Newbry) of Turner, Miss Shirley Nieswander of Sa lem, sister of the groom, Miss Nancy Ann Pullen of Springfield and Miss Barbara Ruth Fessler of Portland.
