Bora in ML Angel Brother Benedict was born in ML Angel, one of the eight chil dren of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Eberle, four of whom have now entered religious life, two of the girls becoming nuns of the Bene dictine Convent at ML AngeL They are known as Sister M. Barnadette and Sister M. Car lotta. He attended ML Angel schools and graduated from ML Angel College. After the death of his parents, he and his brother, VaL took over the Eberle store. For a time, he worked in the editorial offices of SL Joseph Magazine and left that job for service in the Army. He served overseas during World War II, receiving several citations. After the war, he returned to ML Angel and the store, taking a prominent part in the life of the community. About a year and. a half ago, he surprised everyone by enter ing; the monastery, and soon be came identified with the clerical and secretarial work of the Ab bey and Press, in which work he will continue as Brother Benedict.
