From The Oregon Statesman Mindefl Heads Catholic Order At Sublimity , SUBLIMITY Ted Minden of Sublimity was re-elected chief ranger of SL Boniface Court, Catholic Order of Foresters. Thursday. Minden also it chief ringer of the Oregon Jurisdiction of the order. Other officers elected to the court, which bas over 400 mem- ben: Anthony Schrewe, vice chief rtnger: B. J. Minden, re- eordinc secretary; Joseph M Wolf,, treasurer; Henry Mietke and Fred Got fin, trustees. Edward J. Bell was appointed financial secretary, a post he has held for 34 years. . Other appointments were: Sen ior conductor, Hubert Meyerhof er; junior conductor. Warren Coffin; inside sentinel. Sylvan Ifayer; outside sentinel, Francis Etxel; speaker, E. H. Riesterer; chaplain, Father OUara. Officers will be installed on Tuesday, Oct. 22. . Guests were men and women from St Paul Court in Silverton, the first family court of the Catholic Order of Foresters in North America. Church Group Nets $1,000 From Festival , SUtesaaa News Service SILVERTON More than $1,000 was raised Sunday at the annual fall festival of Immanuel Lutheran Conerention, sponsor ed by the Women's Missionary Federation. The event is the annual money making affair of the federation. At this the entire congregation is invited to a dinner for which the members pay and the women themselves bring in the year's contributions. More than 250 at tended the dinner, held after morning services and followed by a brief program. The Immanuel choir, under the direction of Mrs. Tom Ander son, sang selections as did a women's sextet composed of Mrs. Albert Tipner, Mrs. A. W. Nel son, Mrs. Dean Callahan, Miss Hattie Olsen, Mrs. Stanley Swan son and Miss .Rachel Bergh. A skit written by the Rev. A. W. Nelson, depicting projects and problems of the WMF during the year, was given, with those taking part including Mrs. S. A. Funrue, Mrs. E. V. Swayie and Mrs. Carl Hande Sr., with Mrs. John Overlund as narator. Funds raised Sunday go to ward the project of the WMF which this year include a pledge of $1,000 for new pews for the church; $300 for the support of a native missionary in Africa and an additional $80 for the support of a native worker, also in Africa. The marking was considered more difficult to accomplish this time, clipping the dorsal fin and the left ventral.
