Made by Diane Jones, Albany, the dress is a smart garment for dressy occasions. Diane also made a handsome rayon crepe slip to wear under her dress. Brown ac cessories have been chosen to wear with the dress for special occasions. Top beef results included: Hereford steer, owned by Frances Deardorff, 17, Prairie City, was judged grand champion in 4-H competition with a record number of entries from all corners of Oregon. Jim Towery, 15, of Mar ion, showed the reserve cham pion, an Angus. Cal Monroe, state 4-H agent, said this year's 117 entries more than doubled those of two years ago and were half again larger than last year. Exhibitors brought 67 steers this year compared with 35 a year ago. Only five of the 67 steers which will be sold graded lower than choice.
