Salem residents can still leave

as they have no more than one

tary Service Company said Tues
day. A fee will be charged for damp
ing larger amounts. The dump is
in charge of a custodian. s
The question of dumping fees

Whole Blood
Plate Test for
Chicks Okehed
: Oregon's department of agri
culture has agreed to recognize
the whole blood plate test tor
pullorum clean rating of baby
chicks. Earl Reitsuma. supervisor
of the Oregon Poultry Improve
ment plan, lor the department.
Mid Tuesday.
This new test must be per
formed by agents authorized by
the department and the flocks
will be subject to a check test by
Inspectors from Reitsuma's office.
The new type of test complies
with the minimum requirements
for the pullorum clean rating of
the National Poultry Improve
ment Plan. It will not supplant
the tube: test for pullorum clean
rating, but will be an operational
method of test for this same
rating. "
Reitsuma says the incidence of
pullorum in baby chicks tested
in Oregon this season was a small
fraction of one per cent, which
is far below the national average
which approximated one-half of
one per cent.

Suit Alleges ;:
Fraud in Use1
Of Firm Funds
A suit seeking an accounting
of funds allegedly "missappro-
priated" from the Beaver Ply
wood Coorpoarative, 670 Mtrrlark
Ave, was filed in Marion County
Circuit court Tuesday. i
The complaint wu filed by j
member W. W. Lock against four
named members of the cooper
ative and 14 unidentified mem
bers. All are Salem residents.
Lock alleges in the complaint
that Donald A. Heinz, Earl G.
Potter,' Delbert Folk and Harold
McNannay were original mem
bers of the cooperative and paid
membership fees of $3,000 each.
So did Lock. I
Later, the complaint says, the
four defendants met and voted
to reduce membership fees to
$1,000 per member. Lock then
alleges that many new members
were signed up.
The complaint changes that the
four defendants "fraudulently
misappropriated" funds of the
cooperative by "paying those
funds to themselves as dividends
or refunds on membership fees
they had previously paid."
It is further alleged that the
14 unidentified defendants also
received "refunds."
The complaint seeks an ac
counting of the funds and asks
that the defendants reimburse
the cooperative.
