Examine Boy
PENDLETON W County Judge
James Sturgis Saturday ordered
David "Chip" Crozier, Jr.. 11, who
Is accused of killing bis father and
stepmother, to undergo psychiatric
examination.
The boy is to-be taken to Port
land this week end, to stay at the
Multnomah County juvenile home
about s month while psychiatrists
examine him.
The boy was ' re-united briefly
with bis mother, Mrs. Margaret
Edwards of San Francisco, who
divorced David Crozier about
seven years ago.
She arrived In Pendleton shortly
before a hearing called by the
county Judge; They talked briefly
before the hearing, then had lunch
together after the session. '
The hearing was called after a
grand Jury refused to Indict the
boy, and referred his case to
Juvenile court
The boy went into the hearing
beside his mother, but was re
moved before testimony was given
by Sgt N. W. Smith of the state
police, who said David told him he
stabbed his father and stepmother
as they slept Monday night because
he wanted to hurt them for favor-
