    Miss Helen Al brich Married at
Nuptial Mass at St. Joseph's

Church on Saturday morning were Miss Helen Jane Albrich, daugh
ter of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Albrich, and Walter L. Van Handel, son
of Mr. and Mrs. George Van Handel of Stayton.
' The Rev. Joseph E. Vanderbeck officiated at the 9:30 o'clock rites
before a setting of white and pink chrysanthemums and snapdragons.
Soloists were Gerald Neitling and
Lawrence Alley and Mrs. Ray
mond Barton was the organist. The
altar boys were Donald Albrich
and David Foltz. .
The bridal gown was of Veneti
an lace and satin, fashioned with a
lace bodice and sleeves over satin
, and a full satin skirt terminating
in a court train. A lace cap ad
: orned with orange blossoms held
in place her fingertip illusion veil.
She carried a cascade bouquet of
pink rapture roses, , White carna
tions and stephanotis.
Miss Anita Albrich was her sis
ter's honor maid and wore a bal
lerina gown of aqua net over sat
in with a bolero jacket. Brides
maids were Miss Wanda Lam
brecht and Miss Rosemary Dough
erty, who wore pink ballerina
frocks of nylon net over taffeta
with brocaded bolero jackets.
Their bouquets were of bouvardia,
stephanotis and elfe roses. -Attend

Raymond Bartosz stood with the
groom as best man. Groomsmen
were Alan Albrich and Ronald
Minten. Seating the guests were
Joseph Albrich, James Brunelle
and Michael Dombrowsky.
For her daughter's nuptials Mrs.
Albrich wore a forest green dress
with black accessories and corsage
of elfe roses and stephanotis. Mrs.
Van Handel wore a navy blue
gown and corsage of rapture roses
and stephanotis for her son's mar
riage. A wedding breakfast for the
bridal party and immediate family
followed at the Albrich home on
South High Street. In the after
noon the newlyweds greeted their
guests at a reception between 1 and
4 o'clock at the Albrich residence.
Pouring were Mrs. Lawrence Al
ley, Mrs. George Hemann and Mrs.
Raymond Bartosz. Mrs. Helen Pro
vost cut the bride's cake. Assist
ing were Miss Rita Lange, Miss
Joan and Joyce Traviss and Mrs.
Joseph Albrich Jr.

Exhibit
Of interest to art lovers in Sa
lem and the Willamette Valley is
the exhibit of Carl Hall's water
colors opening Monday, Jan. 12 at
the Willamette University Art De
partment buildings The exhibit
will be open to the public for the
remainder of the month through
Friday each week from 8 a. m. to
4 p.m.
Nineteen water colon are in
cluded in the exhibit, five of them
on display to the public for the
first time. Sponsoring the exhibit
are members of the Salem Art As
sociation and the Art Department
of Willamette University.
Carl Hall is the artist in resi
dence at Willamette University and
the purpose of the exhibit is to en
courage the appreciation and en
joyment of art in the Salem area.
A public reception and tea is be
ing arranged for Friday. Jan. 16 in
honor of Mr. Hall at the exhibit
from 3 to 0 p. m. Miss Elizabeth
Lord, chairman of the reception
committee of the Salem Art As
sociation, is in charge of the affair
to which the interested public is
invited.
Mrs. L. E. deWeese is chairman
of the exhibits committee of the
Salem Art Association and Dr.
Cameron Paulin, head of the Wil
lamette University Art Depart
ment, represents the other co
sponsor of the exhibit.
