S. Army Engineers Portland office, that it has been decided -to complete all of the proposed flood control work next summer. This project in eludes not only the Cox location near Sanderson's bridge, but the Blakeley and Crenshaw locations. A reauest for all money needed to complete this combined work will be included in the engineers' budget to Congress, and it is pro posed that contracts for the work be let early in Way of 1953. . Property owners along the. San tiam river, who had not previ ously given permits or easements, have now given their permission to go ahead.' Survey permits for these locations were recently se cured. The devout ' groups, some thumbing Korean Bibles, first sat .on the-river bank, listening to Chaplain Greenwold read from the scriptures. I Then, one by one, they were baptized into the Protestant church. Later, a communion serv ice was held In the chapel of the 179th regiment.
