Plans of the Salem Oratorio So
ciety to make its tenth annual
presentation of Handel's Messiah
during the holiday season were an
nounced this; week by Chairman
Roy Dahlen. is
First rehearsal at Waller Hall
on Monday, October 20, is expect
ed to bring out many new choirs
of choral singers, he says. Exper
ienced soloists: and choristers will
be welcomed, according to Dean
Melvin Ueistj director. About 300
persons! are expected to appear in
