A new headboard can do far
more than change the style of
bed it can change the style of the
bedroom and make more room in
the room. Trade a conventional
headboard and footboard frame I rnuAntmn TAn!.

board and a frame that hides un
der the box-spring. The bed. at
nee looks like a seating piece and
the bedroom looks like a bed-sit
ting room. Free the floor space in
the center of the room the bed
nee occupied by setting it into a
corner where it looks best. A book
case headboard gains storage space
for the room, and if it's like this,
it tucks up a -night stand in mini
mum space. The night stand here
is attached, and by a piano binge
which allows it to swing outward
from the headboard. The front
panel drops down to serve as ad
ditional table surface. Ray Sobota
designed this new bed to star in
the recent previews of furniture
for fall at Chicago's Merchandise
Mart and it will be seen soon in
the stores.
