and her granddaughter, Betty Lou
Hessel, left Tuesday to visit the

and now is a real estate agent.
Jefferson LeRoy Beach es
caped injury Tuesday when the
truck he was driving was wrecked
between Albany and Corvallis
Kaipn Kobertson was listed as
owner of the truck.
Jefferson E. Donald Jessop
of Salem will conduct a six-weeks
course for wind Instruments at
Jefferson School. Further infor
mation may be secured from Eric
Fitzsimons, Jefferson High School
band director.
Silverton Mrs. Bernice Ash
croft has sold her northside store
to Frederi9k 'Adams of St. Helens,
She said she does not plan to re
main in Silverton.
Silvertotf Mrs. Mary Egan
Kleeman, who has been employed
at the Cooley Iris Gardens office
this summer, has accepted a posi
tion as secretary-at the Christian
Church in Albany. She -will take
up her new work there Friday,

Weaver family reunion was held
at Sweet Home City Park Sun
day. There were 92 present. Of this
number there were Mr. and Mrs.
Mrs. Kleeman has been very ac
tive In the First Christian Church
at Silverton, specalizing in work
with young people,
David P. Weaver, parents of the
Weaver clan, their six sons, Elmer,
Orville, Christian, William, Arden
and Harold and their families; two
daughters, Mrs. Paul Ammon and
Mrs. A. B. Cays and their famil
ies, all living in Sweet Home and
community except Harold Weav
er, Willamina, and- Mrs. Cays,
Roseburg. A sister of David
Weaver, Miss Ester Weaver, Al
bany, also was present. There were
28 grandchildren and 18 great
grandchildren present. i
: Mr. and Mrs. David i Weaver
came to Oregon in 1903 from Napr
pance, Ind, and settled near Sa
lem. During their 49 years In Ore
gon the Weaver family have lived
in a half-dozen Willamette Valley
towns. Weaver has engaged in
ranching and sawmllling i during
this time. In 1940 they came to
Sweet Home where he has retired.
