    Wheat Prices
Hold Up Well
CHICAGO (JP) Wheat held up
well on the board of trade Monday
in the face of surrounding weak
ness. The bread cereal was off most
of the day, but a rally in the clos
ing hour left all contracts with
fractional gams.
Wheat 'closed 4-V4 higher, corn
toa 1 cent lower, oats unchang
ed to hifher, rye -3 lower,
soybeans t-AV lower and lard 15
to 20 cents a hundred pounds
lower.
Receipts of cash wheat were
heavy in the Southwest, but most
of the grain now was being held
off the market, either for higher
prices or for putting into govern
ment loan.
