Miiss Nola Jean Zobel, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Zobel
and Hubert E. Johnson, son of the
Rev. and Mrs. Joe E. Johnson, ex
changed their marriage vows on
Friday, June 20 at the First Church
of The Nazarene. The Rev. John
son officiated at the 8 o'clock cere
mony. Blue delphiniums and white
peonies were used about the altar
and lighting the tapers were Miss
Evelyn Fisher and Miss Helen
Melby. Soloists were Miss Janice
Olsen and Willard Friese, accom
panied by William Fawk.
Given in marriage by her father
the bride wore a slipper satin
dress fashioned with net yoke out
lined with pleated net, the skirt
with a full train. Her fingertip il
lusion veil was edged with wide
lace. She carried a bouquet of
stephanotis and light blue del
phiniums. Maid of honor Was Miss Wava
Darby, who wore a maize net over
taffeta dre-s and carried a bouquet
of blue and white summer flow
ers. Bridesmaids were Miss Marciel
Rcirrter and Miss Shirley Binger
heimer. They wore blue turquoise
net over taffeta dresses and car
ried white and yellow nosegay?
of summer flowers. Flower girl
was Sharon Johnson and ring
bearer was Jimmey Johnson, niece
and nepruw of the groom.

Mrs. Zobel chose for her daugh
ter's wedding a navy blue ri'csy
and Mrs. Johnson also wore navy.
Both mothers had corsages of
white carnations and pink roses.
Following the ceremony the re
ception was held in the church
parlors. Mrs. Lyle Zobel and Mrs.
Roy Blanchard poured, Mrs. Ber
nard Zobel cut the cake. Assist
ing were Mrs. George Quinne and
Mbs Inez Pence.
The bride chose a dusty rose
suit with white accessories for her
going away outfit. The couple will
make their home at Santa Cruz,
Calif.

The American War Mothers met
Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Freda
CogsUtll for luncheon and sewing.
The mothers sewed for the veter
ans at Camp White. Mrs. Georgia
Shearer, a member of the Salem
Chapter, has been awarded a life

Mothers.
Mrs. Mabel Lock wood, national
president. Mrs. Ben Randall, and
Mrs. Glenn Prather went to the
home of Mrs. Clara McDerby this

Ouinn.
The best man was a brother of
the bride, Russell Martin jr. Ush
ers were Donald Jensen of Brooks,
Ore. and Dave Jenkins.
Bride's Mother wore beige suit,
white and luggage tan accessories.
Groom's mother wore navy suit
dress, white accessories.
Cutting the cake was Miss Pat
Robinson, pouring; Misses Rosalee
and Bernice Wheeler.
The couple will live at Brooks
after June 13.
Both graduated from Canyon
ville Bible Academy, Canyonville,
Oregon, and attended the South
ern California Bible College at
Costa Mesa, Calif, where they plan
to continue their studies in the fall.
