Drew Pearson Socked Again WASHINGTON (TP) - Columnist Drew Pearson drew a poke in the eye from a husky Washington law yer in a one-punch encounter in the lobby of the Mayflower Hotel Wednesday. Charles Patrick Clark, 44, a for mer pro basltetball player and handball champion, told newsmen he took a sock at Pearson to re taliate for things the 54-year-old columnist had written about him and his friends. Pearson promptly swore out a complaint of assault against Clark, whom he has called a lobbyist for Franco Spain. Salem Postoffiee Official Returns From Korea War Return of S. Bliss Leslie to Sa lem Postoffiee as superintendent of postal finance was anticipated Wednesday upon his arrival in the States from Korea service. Capt. Leslie, who commanded Salem's reserve 894th Army Postal Unit when it went on active duty May 1, 1951, arrived Wednesday in San Francisco and was to go to Ft. Lewis for discharge. Leslie was separated from his unit and sent overseas last fall and has recently been in command of the First Base Postoffiee in Korea. Some other members of the 894th are expected to return in the near future.
