the Heathman Hotel sponsored by

Carrousel For
Girl Scouts
All Girl Scouts in the Santiam
Area are invited to attend a car
rousel in Corvallis on Saturday
at Gill Coliseum beginning at 11
o'clock. Several hundred Girl
Scouts in Salem are expected to
attend, traveling by bus and pri
vate car.
The program will include in
formal games between 11 and 12
o'clock in the morning, luncheon
at noon, a flag ceremony at 1
o'clock by Troop 08, Salem, songs
led by Mrs. Frank Parcher, Sa
lem, a pageant with all Girl
Scouts performing, singing and
games, a, friendship circle, and
taps closing the day's festivities
at 3 o'clock. All Girl Scout troops
In the city are asked to attend the
carrousel.

Unite Couple
In Marriage
The Calvary Baptist Church
was the scene of the marriage of
LMiss Frieda Patterson, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Howath
of Salem, to Corporal Richard
Bladorn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Tweedie, all of Salem, on Mon
day, April 14. The Rev. Omar H.
Barth performed the double ring
ceremony at 7:30 o'clock.
The bride wore a ballerina
gown of white net over satin with
lace collar and lace insertion on
the skirt. A crown of seed pearls
held in place her fingertip veil,
which was edged in lace. She
carried a white orchid on a white
Bible.
Miss Beverly Rinehart was the
honor maid and wore a pink net
ballerina frock over taffeta. She
carried a nosegay of white and
pink spring flowers and wore a
crown of pink and white carna-
man and Miss Sharon Miles, who
wore shell pink ballerina frocks
of net .over taffeta. They also
carried carnation and sweet pea
nosegays with matching bead
dresses. Gretchen Bladorn was
flower girl.
William Bladorn was his broth
er's best man. Ushers were Gor
don White and Earl Johnson.
Junior ushers were Donald Pat
terson and Fred Tweedie.

Terry Murray was the soloist and
Mrs. E. Francis was the organist.
Mrs. Howath wore a turquoise
afternoon dress with corsage of
yellow cymbfdrum orchids and
brown accessories. Mrs. Tweedie
attended her son's marriage in a
grey and pink print gown with
pink accessories and corsage of
pink cymbidium orchids.
A reception was held in the
fireplace room of the church. Miss
Ann Rector cut the cake and as
sisting were Misses Dalene O'Har
ra, Coleen Welsh, Sandra Shaw,

the State . Retirement Fund."

Miss Stamper and her fiance
are graduates of Salem High
School. She is employed at Sa
