Grains Mostly Qose Higher CHICAGO (JP)- Most grains ended higher on the board of trade Thursday, continuing the late rally of Wednesday. Dealings were much less active than in the previous session. Most strength was shown by v;heat, particularly the March contract. In contrast, corn waj quite weak, ending fractionally lower after having sold down more than a cent early. However, neither corn nor any thing else broke the lows early Wednesday. Wheat closed 4-l higher, corn vs- lower, oats unchanged to higher, rye -l4 higher, soy beans '4 lower to 4 higher, and lard 7 to 15 cents a hundred pounds higher. Expectations of export business later this week or early next week, coupled with rumors that 250,000 bushels of red wheat had been told out of Chicago, backgrounded the buying in wheat. The later ttem was of particular importance In the March contract. Stocks and Bonds Compiled 1t Th Associated Press. Feb. Oil stocks and issunth oil did some spectacular things on the upside led by Amerada Petroleum, which zoomed up as much as 22 points before falling back to close up 17 at 200. Railroads, which also sparked the advance Wednesday, had a lot of help from oils, chemicals, non ferrous metals and big list of miscellaneous issues. The Associated Press average of 60 stocks gained 30 cents at $98.20 with the industrial component up 50 cents, rails up 30 cents, and utilities unchanged. Volume was 1,150,000 shares as against 1,260,000 shares Wednes day. The list was relatively narrow with 1,099 individual issues on the tape with 582 advancing and 259 declining.
