sell 'Sr. celebrated their golden
wedding anniversary at a recep
tion for which their daughter, Mrs.
Marty B. Parker, was hostess on
Sunday afternoon at the Hansell
residence on Edina Lane. Over
sevepty -five guests called between
2 and 5 o'clock.
Tbie couple's marriage! took place
in Treewater, Oregon, Feb. 18,
1902i and they have lived in Salem
for $2 years. Mr. Hansell was with
the State Agriculture Department
for ?4 years, having retired a few
years ago.
Tha Hansells have two children,
a daughter, Mrs. Parker, and a
son,iLt. John W. Hansell Jr., and
two I granddaughters, Mary Susan
Parser and Lynn Christine Han

Charleston, South Carolina, where

Salem General Hospital Auxili
ary members are busy with plans
for the group's annual spring rum
mage sale to be held Friday and
Saturday of this week over Green
baum's. Mrs. Rex Kimmell and
Mr. George S. Hoffman are co-
chairmen of the sale.
Proceeds from the event will be
used to purchase equipment for
the maternity and surgical wards
of the hospital. Members are pick
ing up rummage, sorting and
marking the few days prior to the
sale. Hours will be from 9:30 a.m.
to 4 p.m. on Friday and from 9:30
to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
