LONDON (P) - Britain's late
King George VI will be seen by
the people he served so faithfully
for the last time Feb. 15 auring
the state funeral at Windsor Cas
tle, and then his body will be
laid to rest alongside that of his
father, George V.
Setting the services for her fa
ther was the first official act of
the late King's daughter, the new
Queen Elizabeth II.
Prime Minister Winston Church
Ill, who has served every British
monarch since he was an Army
officer under Queen Victoria, eul
ogized the late King in his broad
cast Thursday to the nation and
overseas.
He indicated that the King who
died early Wednesday in his sleep
at his Sandringham estate after
months of poor health, had a pre
monition that death was neer
The body of the King will reac
London by train Monday, and will
lie in state in Westminster Hall
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thurs
day in an oaken coffin draped
with the monarch's purple robes
of state and bearing bis jeweled
crown.
The King's body probably will
be dressed in one of his unioims,
and will rest on the same spot
where 16 years ago he and his
three brothers, led by ex-King
Edward VIII stood guard over the
body of their father.
sThe Kings of Sweden, Norway,
Denmark, Belgium and Greece,
and the - Queen of Holland are
expected to attend. He will be
laid to rest beside-hist father, King
Henry VIII and beheaded King
Charles I.

NEW DRINK-WARE
NEW YORK (INS) There's a
new set of frosty drink-ware avail
able. This one is titled "It's Later
Than You Think" and the glasses
have a clock design. The firm
plans to bring out a line of match
ing trays. Two new plate designs
offer a choice of round or square
shapes, featuring identical pine
cone motifs in the center. The
pine-cone appears slightly off
center for an unusual effect. Col
ors are blue and light brown on a
white background.

Regrets Over
Death of King
Gov. Douglas McKay Issued a
statement Thursday expressing re
gret because of the death of King
George.
His statement said:
"The King exemplified through
out his life the highest devotion to
the well-being of his people.
"His courage and calm dignity
during World War II and the sub
sequent years were a constant
source of strength and comfort to
the people under his rule.
"England has lost her King and
the citizens of the world have lost
a friend."
TUNA PLANT TO REOPEN
ASTORIA (-After a three
month shutdown, the Columbia
River Packers Association's plant
will start canning tuna next week.

said 200 tons of frozen Japanese
tuna were on hand and more was
