Command Wednesday said its planes bombed part of the Kae song neutral zone last Thursday and also probably strafed a Com munist truce convoy Friday. The U. N. Command blamed the Kaesong incident on "the accidental release of a bomb instead of a wing-tip gasoline tank. It said the pilot was trying to lighten his plane. The Command said the bomb, a 1,000 pounder, hurt no one and caused no property damage. Col. James C. Murray, an Al lied liaison officer, carried the U N. Command report to the Com munists. He said that Jet fighters flying in the Kaesong area did not know their exact position because of bad weather and began to lighten then- loads. "Since the jets did not know their exact location," Murray told North Korean Col. Chang Chung San, "the flight leader directed his flight to drop their external fuel tanks and one of the aircraft inadvertently jettisoned a bomb instead of a tank. "The U. N. C. regrets that the inadvertent act of one of its pilots resulted in dropping a bomb which exDloded without causin; damage or casualties within the Kaesong restricted area." In the other incident, Murray said that evidence indicated U. N. planes strafed a Red truce supply convoy 20 miles north of Kaesong last Friday. But Murray repeated an earlier Allied charge that the Reds ap peared to be taking advantage of special markings guaranteeing lm munity from attack. Ex-Communist Tells of Trial' By Red Party WASHINGTON UP)- An e x- Communist, who once took part in the party's plans for going un derground, told Tuesday of being stripped naked at a Communist party "trial," threatened ana ex pelled from the Communist or ganization as "a traitor." The tale was related by John Lautner for more than 20 years a party member to the Subver sive Activities Control Board. The board, set up under the Mc Carran Internal Security Act, is holding hearings on a petition by the Attorney General. He seeks to require the Communist party to register, list its members, and reveal its finances. The "trial," Lautner recalled, took place in Cleveland. He was 'lured" there, Lautner said, and taken to a cellar in the Kings burgh run area. "There were two husky charac ters playing cards," Lautner said. "I saw long rubber hoses and knives lying around and both men had guns. I was stripped stark na ked and my clothing searched. "I was called a traitor, a spy, and a stool pigeon. I was told that if I didn't come clean I'd never leave that place." Lautner said he was puzzled as to the reason for the "trial." When he got back to New York, Lautner said, he saw a headline in the Communist party paper, the Daily Worker.- "John Lautner ex pelled by CP as traitor."
