Interesting! Collection of Christmas Scenes Displayed at Croisan Creek Home
Br ints. ciiet nelson

ROBERTS, Dec. 20 Christmas
with the true meaning of joy,
peace, fellowship and, love has
come early to the Leon F. Frahm
family who reside on Croisan
Creek road. Their home has al
ready been gladdened for the holidays-
by 'beautiful Christmas
scenes, both religious and in the
theme of winter.
Collecting interesting small fig
ures animals, birds, trees, houses.
angels, churches and farm build
ings has been a hobby with Mrs.
Frahm for fover 10 years. Each
year her display grows and she
adds another scene to be enjoyed
by friends and neighbors during
the Christmas holidays.
On viewing her displays I re
called to mind the beloved hymn
"Be ThM, 0 Ged, exalted kigta.
And aa Thy clary fills the sky.
So let it be en earth displayed,
Till Thou ; art here and new
- obeyed."
Making use of shelves in her
large dining room window (pic
tured herewith), Mrs. Frahm has
a figure of Christ set in clouds of
spun glass with six small angel
figures composing an orchestra
playing various instruments, and
they might well be singing "Hark!
The Herald Angels Sing, Glory to
the - new born King. From their
fluffy clouds they look down from
the top shelf to the next one which
is the sky scene with leaoing,
life-like reindeer and sleigh made
by Mrs. Frahm from pieces of
sterifoam. The sleigh is adorned
by clear glass marbles giving a
touch of fairy jewels, "and over
the house-tops his coursers they
flew, with a sleigh full of toys and
Santa Claus too"
On the lower shelf is the quiet;
peaceful scene of homes, gaily
lighted, nestled. in soft snow and
flanked on either end by churches.
Trees made from dried, wild as
paragus fern, clever substitutes
for our common shade trees naked
of leaves In winter, fir trees,
shrubbery, fawns, bunnies, a lit
tle old owl, and other miniature
figures complete the scene.
A - beautiful scene of a snow
white cross nd a guardian angel
made from sterifoam, interspersed
with cold -metallic fringing, re
flects purity in to the holy Virgin
Mother and Christ child figurine.
A group of six exquisitely dressed
story-book dolls as angels' with
small books in their hands also
are included. More of the beauti-
fully-gowned dolls parade across
the front window, all i cleverly
dressed by Mrs. Frahm,': even to
their hats. I i ,
Taking advantage of the frozen
lake beside the farm, a group of
30 skaters, skiers and; sled riders
are having a fine time;
The farm consisting -of house
and barn, silo, windmill,: chicken,
house, animals,?' chickens and
ducks gives one a feeling of con
tentment. "Peace on earth, good
will to men." IS -1 ?
