Those 11 votes and 170 points gare the Cavemen at eomzortaoie zo point margin over second-place Roosevelt of Portland, which won a state playoff berth by defeating Lincoln of Portland. 33-12. Grants Pass turned in another lop-sided victory last week 63-0 over Roseburg. Hillsboro. again picked as the No. 3 team with 127 point, won a state playoff berth by" walloping West linn, 53-6. Astoria followed uNa.4 with 117 points after de feating North Bend, 20-0, last week. Grant Sta . Grant of Portland also won a playoff spot with a 32-7 victory over Benson. Marshf ield was No. 7 last week, but the Pirates lost their second straight came over the week end and skidded to No. 9. Coquille knocked off Manhfield, 28-20. Prineville, No. 8, and University high of Eugene, No. 10, complete the top ten as the only class A-2 schools represented. Prineville won a close 13-12 game for Columbia Prep of Portland, and University high beat Stayton. 14-0. Coquille narrowly missed beat ing out University as the tenth place team. Coquille received 23 - points, hist one less than Univer sity.
