ding anniversary Monday, August
13. The day's, festivities began
with the celebration of mass and
re-reading of the marriage cere
mony I by the Bev Father Math

Mrs. Spaniol was the forfoer
Bertha Streff, daughter of Anna
and Mike Streff. They camel to
Oregon In November of 1899. Mr.
Spaniol was the son of John and
Magdeline Spaniol,! who came to
Oregon, in 1890 from Minnesota:

On Birthday -
- Dr. M. C Findley was honored
oa his 80th birthday at a family
gathering at the home ef his son-in-law
and daughter. Dr. and Mrs.
Roy Lockenour, on Sunday after
noon. Forty-one members of Dr.
Findleys immediate family were
present for the occasion and ear
lier In the day attended the morn
ing services at the First Methodist
church.
Dr. Findley has been actively
engaged in the medical profession
the past S3 years and has practic
ed at Baldwin, Kansas, Grants
Pass and Salem since 1914., He es
tablished the Eye, Ear, Nose and
Throat Medical Clinic here and re
tired from active practice this
spring.' ;

relatives and other friends called
Sunday afternoon at the Forest
Zetterberg home on Marquam
road to congratulate Mr. and Mrs.
John Zetterberg upon their gold
en wedding celebration.
Mr. and Mrs. Zetterberg were
married August 17, 1901. at Little
Falls, Minn., and homesteaded in
Silverton Hills In 1908, living at
the same place for 43 years. ,
Eight of their 10 children were
present at the occasion including
Mr. and Mrs. Tick Zetterberg. Mr.
and Mrs. Elmer Zetterberg, Mr.
and Mrs. Forrest Zetterberg, all
of Silverton; Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Zetterberg, Wichita, Kans, Mr.
and Mrs. Sidney Zetterberg, Si
letz; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Zetter

Kathy Lee, born on August 20 to

Pedee). The little girl, who
weighed six pounds, ten ounces. Is

ner and Robert Pedee, all of Sa
