Home, drove to Salem to visit his
mother who has been taken from
ail rest home to a Salem hospital
following a heart attack. Her con
dition was reported "fair." .

Taegu, Korea,
before he was able to be moved
to VS. naval hospital in Japan.
His father reported that ho has
had seven blood transfusions. He
had been awaTded the Purple
Heart .1
Glatt served four years with the
marines during World War IL He
was ordered to Korea last Septem

A 1950 graduate of Oregon State
college, Glatt received his degree
in agricultural economics. His fa
ther and a sister live at Wood
burn. ,
His wife, the former Sue Fer
guson of Woodburh, will teach
home economics at Newport this
