-:. . . .-- W
CHICAGO, July' 2(HrPV-Trad-ing
in July contracts wound up on
the board of trade today with the
usual weird cross-currents in the
final few minutes.
July wheat fell off sharply in
the closing trades, ending 3 to 5
cents . lower at t2J2-30.
Other-wheat deliveries lost frac
tions to a cent on hedge selling
This type of pressure expanded as
239 cars of cash i wheat arrived
here. - . j v ,:
In contrast with wheat, both the
old and new style July rye con
tracts . soared to new seasonal
highs. The old style contract was
up 7 cents. .There were 1,820,000
bushels .outstanding in this de
livery when trading started. July
corn ended unchanged to 1V low
er and July oats 1-1 lower.
Some wild gyrations were turn
ed in by July soybeans. They sold
as high as S3.X2 early in the day.
A low of $3.04 was scored right at
the close. . . ; ''
Trading in the deferred futures
was much less spectacular. Corn
ended ; lower to j higher, oats
- lower, rye j (old style) .
lower to 1 cent higher, .soybeans
