The 1951 International Championship Open Stunt competition will
be held in conjunction with the Joio Chit wood Auto Daredevils thrill
circus at Hollywood Bowl Sunday, starting at 8:30 p.m. Sanctioned by
the International Stontmen's Association and regulated by the strict
I.S.A. rules, competition will, take
place in the broadjumping of new
automobiles for distances of ap
proximately 110 feet Into space
and over three other new cars rac
ing underneath; crash-rolling au
tomobiles for distance and consec
utive rolls; obstacle racing on two
wheels, precision driving and spe
cialty events.
Team entries win bring together
the world's leading stuntsmen. In
addition i to the Joie Chitwood
Auto Daredevils, the Bill Ward
Canadian' Aces, Vancouver, B.C.,
will compete, as will Harry Wool
man's Hollywood Stuntmen, Holly
wood, California, and Angel Lo

-Grant "Doc" Swan, Oregon State
college track coach, resigned again
today and maybe he means it
this time. The announcement this
time was made by Athletic Direc
tor Roy "Spec" Keene. ;
Earlier this spring, as in years
past. Swan himself said he would
resign. In previous years he re
lented later, and stayed on. Swan
has been coach of the track team
since 1934.
Keene said Swan Wanted to de
vote full time to teaching here
after.
