Madsen Statesman Farm Editor , ' Women as well as cows must have pulchritude If they are to reign In Oregon Jersey events. This decision was reached Thurs day at the April meeting of the Oregon Jersey Cattle club direc tors at Senator hotel. ? Marlin Fox, Molalla, presided at the luncheon- meeting, with Jens Svinth, Grants Pass, here as secretary. ' S Fox explained that a Jersey queen is chosen each year during Spring Show Jubilee week, which opens this year May 15 in Wash ington county. Each county club will -present a candidate and these must be between the ages of nine and 19 years. Another stipulation is that she must be the daughter of a Jersey club member or of a 4-H club with a Jersey project. Marlon county Jersey Cattle club will be host to the state club on August 9 at the annual sum mer picnic.
