On April 28 there will be food
sale by the Rebekahs at Marshall

The Triple Link club announced
its plans to clean the hall at its
April 25th meeting and asked for
additional volunteer help.
During the social hour,T Mrs.
Mildred Johnston was presented
a going-away gift from the lodge.
Mrs. Johnston, whose husband was
called into, service a short time
ago, will go to Portland for the
present.
At the card party which follow
ed prizes were won by Mrs. Bet
ty Taylor, Mrs. Lial McClure, L.
M. Case, Lloyd Taylor, Mrs. F. J.
Rouble, Mrs. Mable Monson, Karl
Haberly and Clay Allen.

California to attend funeral serv
ices for Mr. and Mrs. Joe West,
Ft Leonard, Kans., who were en
route here when killed Friday in
an accident near Windfall, Ariz.
The Frenches were accompanied
by Mr. and Mrs. Jake English and
were to join Charles Epperson at
Phoenix, Ore. Details of the ac-
-eident had not been learned Saturday.'

30 days after date of opening bids.
Each proposal shall be made out on
a bid form contained in the contract
documents and shall be accompanied
by a certified check or bid bond made
payable to Marion County in an
amount not less than 10 of the total
amount of the proposal.
No bid will be received or considered
unless it contains a statement by the
bidder as part of his bid that in per
forming his contract he will pay and
cause to be paid not less than the pre
vailing rate of wages as of the date of
his bid in such county, per hour, per
day. and per week for and to each and
every workman who may be employed
in and about the performance of his
contract.

Laws Annotated, requiring bidders to
file sworn statements of financial abil
ity, equipment and experience in con
struction of public improvements, must
be complied with before delivery of
bid proposal forms and not later than
