At a party given on- Thursday
Bight, Miss Dorothea Morse, dau-
hter of Mr. and Mrs. George
lorse announced her engagement
to Kenneth Horn, son of Mr. and
Mrs. James F. Horn of Woodburn.
The engagement was announ
ced by slips of paper inserted in
daffodils during the refreshment
hour. ,
Miss Morse is in charge of the
laboratory at Salem Memorial
hospital and her fiance is a sen
ior at Willamette university. They
plan to be married in June.
Spinsters to Plan Tea
Spinsters will fee entertained
Monday night at the North Winter
street home of Miss Evelyn John
son at 8 o'clock. Assisting hostess
es will be Mrs. Robert Sleeves and
Mrs. Peter Gunnar. During the
business session plans will be out
lined for the group's annual. spring
benefit tea to be held on May 5 at
the home of Mrs. Louis Lachmund.
Miss Johnson is heading the di
rectorate for the affair and will
announce her committees after the
Monday meting.
