The pretty bride elect is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey S. Tussing of Salem. The engagement news was an nounced during a cookie shine and a silver tree decorated with silver nutshells, which were enclosed with the couple's names. The wed ding is planned for March. Miss Tussing is a graduate of Salem schools and in June will receive her degree in English from the University of Oregon. She is a member of the Salem Spinsters. Her fiance will also graduate in June from the University with a political science degree. He is now serving as president of his fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega. The class will be conducted be tween 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. each Wednesday for a six-week period. Nurses from the Marion county health department are to teach the class which Is conducted through the nursing services pro gram of the Red Cross. Women interested In taking the course are asked to register with the Red Cross or the county health office. Tournament for Duplicate Bridge A separate tournament for those starting duplicate contract bridge win be held each week by the Salem Elks Bridge club. It was decided yesterday.
