MANY PURPOSE
Modern designers weren't first
with the idea that a single piece
f furniture can serve many
purposes the breakfront was
a one-Diece wonder 200 years
ao. And it isn't necessary to
turn to modern design .for fur
niture that copes with today's
eed for extra usefulness in
limited space. Here's proof posi
tive that beloved traditional
can be counted on for versatile
performance a slim and ele'
gant mahogany server - chest'
desk. It takes up .no more room
than a small chest, yet is a com
modious desk. The top leaf pulls
out to help act as a server, and
with the storage space below
used for record albums and re
freshment equipment, it becomes
a compact entertainment center.
