at Sun Valley, Idaho, foran ex
tended vacation and rest," her

A spokesman for Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer

musical star is completely recov
ered from the despondency over
her career which caused her to
scratch her throat with a broken
water glass June 19. ; '
She made the trip upon the
advice of MGM's head man, Louis

sokesman sadi. Miss Garland is
still on suspension from the stu
dio, however. It was reportedly
because of the suspension for not
reporting for work on a movie
that she wounded herself.
Miss Garland i is accompanied
by her daughter, Lisa, four, and
a nurse and their stay is indefi
nite. Her husband, Director Vin
cent Minnelli, is in Hollywood
preparing for a new film and may
take Judy with him when he goes
