NEW YORK, June 19-()-The
gtock market started the week
with a fresh decline today follow
ing last week's severe setback.
With a handful of exceptions,'
losses -were fractional. Declines
outnumbered gains, however, by
solid margin.
. Final prices were bottom for the
day. Several times during the day
timid rallies got started but each
time fizzled out. The market was
weakest during the last hour.
Trading was comparatively slow
through the session. There was a
slight tendency to pick up speed
during the rallies but total turn
over was skimpy. Sales of 1,290,
000 shares compared with 1,180,000
Friday. i
There was little in the news
outside of pending tax legislation
to account for the lack of buy
