Who came from their home in
Cornwall, Ontario, Canada for the

roses. Mrs. Ullman wore a blue

! church parlors. Mrs. Ernest Hill
of Vancouver, Wash, and Mrs. A.
M. Larsen of Dallas poured. Mrs.
Charles Cone or Portland cut the
cake. Assisting were Miases Peg

Mrs. Norma Thurin and Mrs.
James Carson.
After wedding trip In the
i northwest the couple will be at
home in estern Oregon. In the fall
!they will return to Salem. For go

Mothers Friday
, A social evening at the First
Evangelical United Brethren
church will take place on t"riday,
Mar 28 at 7 pjn. when the Wo
men's Society of World Service
and the Christian Service Guild
will give a banquet honoring the
mothers and daughters. All ladies
who are members or friends of the
church are invited to attend and
bring i daughter or mother. Re
servation may be made by calling

Guest "speaker for the evening
will be Miss Eva Agee of Albany,
who has been teaching school' this
past year at Red Bird,. Kentucky,
a mission station of the Evangeli
cal United Brethren church. Miss
Agee will also show pictures of her

Social Slate
Although most clubs have ended
their dancing season, several other
dances are being arranged to take
place In the next fortnight
The two chaDters of Beta Sigma
Phi, EU and Alpha Epsllon, will
be an Informal affair and making
all arrangements for the dance
are the men's auxiliary ; of the
chapters.-The men are heading all
committees and will escort3 their
wives and guests to the dance.
The social hour will be from S
to 9 o'clock during which time
there will be piano numbers by
Phil Forrest and songs by Arline
Page. Bill DeSouza and his orches
tra will play for dancing ;between
9 and 12 o'clock, il
Bidden as special, guests to the
dance are members of the Albany

Fuhrer, who: came to this coun
try 39 years ago,- has been In the

38 years. She will be ' gone two
