He was born Oct. 25, 1870, in Pennsylvania and moved to Oregor in 1908. He lived on a farm at Irish Bend before moving to Newberg a few years ago. The money derived from the drive plus the aid of the local Lions club will send some boy to the international scout jamboree at Valley Forge, Penn., next summer. I Dinner was served to 65 guests at 7 o'clock, a menu from India was used including curried beef over rice, curried potatoes, dal (lentils), two kinds i bf Indian bread, bananas and coffee. Candy from India was also served.
