hurt eastern Oregon yet, thanks to
the milder weather of the last few
weeks. - - .
The town of Baker's coal bins
are nearly empty, but no one has
gone heat-less yet One coal dealer
still has enough stocks on hand for
three weeks. The Baker hospital
uses oil, and schools have fairly
good coal stocks on hand, j
At Pendleton, tbe-situation was
about the same. Hospitals were
well supplied; and most -householders
had stocked up on coal
