ticipated 250 growers. A response
will be given by Avery Swink,
local turkey raiser. Drawing of a
door prize will follow, and the ap
pointment of a nominating com
mittee. First topic discussed will be
."Reducing costs through feeding
and management" This will be
discussed by James Harper, Ore
gon State college.. .
A free turkey dinner to all
growers and delegates will be
served during the noon hour at
both the Methodist and Presby
terian churches by Jadles of the
respective churches.
Afternoon sessions will com
mence at 1:30 when Ted Belobo
noff, noted violinist, will be heard
ton, president of the chamber of in short recital. This will be fol
lowed by- the first , afternoon top
ic, "Selling Oregon hatching eggs
and poults," by W. 1L Schwelder,
president of Oregon Turkey Im
provement association. Election of
officers will be held at 2:20.
C W. Norton, president of
Northwest Dairy and Poultry
Products, will then discuss the ef
fect of government support prices
on the turkey industry.
Noel Bennion, Oregon State
college poultry specialist, will talk
on the 1950 turkey situation and
outlook, and summarize the day's
meeting. Adjournment is planned
at 3:30. ,

room has been studying Eskimos
and has made an Eskimo mural.
They plan to present a play, with

The . grade school Cubs have
been invited to play in the Leba
non Invitational tournament next
week. They are also invited to the
George Fox college tournament at
Newberg March 2, S and 4.

The budget committee meeting
