Thursday night, January 5, at the
Palm cafe In McMinnville, with
Earl Nott, county chairman in

land. Pictures were taken of the
chairman from .each town. It was
learned during the meeting that
Yamhill county last year spent ap
proximately $8,000 aiding polio
patients, and that in the last year!
drive, only $4000 was realized.

Eugene Monday to resume his
studies at Northwest Christian col
lege. Leighton had spent two weeks
dunng the holidays at hla home
here, the last week having all four
or his wisdom teeth pulled. He is
a member of the school quartet
so wont be home much during the
next two terms.
Robert Simpson will deliver the
morning message at the Church of
Christ Sunday, after which there
will be a fellowship dinner.

for Dr. William Henry Smith, SO,

Sheridan Masonic lodge. Interment
was in Green Crest Memorial pane.
Dr. Smith died suddenly Friday
at his home. He had been in poor
health for some time, but was not
considered seriously ilL He had
made his home in Sheridan for 25
years and was engaged in the prac
tice of chiropractic pnystoan. ne

ed chairman of the Albany March
of Dimes polio drive campaign this
week. The drive win begin Jan
uary IS and continue through Jan
nary 21. The drive la beta soon
sored by the Junior Chamber of
Commerce again this year. Kern
has had three years' experience in
the work.
In connection with the drive, the
"mile of dimes will again be held.
