fornia football team, 48 strong
and flanked by nearly 100 hopeful
supporters, left tonight for South
Bend and the annual game with
Notre Dame.
It's the first Trojan invasion of
the Fighting Irish's home field
since 1946 and the last time USC
wipped Notre Dame back there
was in 1939 by a 20-12 score.
