Miss Bo Brooks, Salem sophomore at
Willamette university, whahas been
named "Miss Homecoming of 1949" by ,
Blue Key, senior men's honorary on tie
campus. Bo is also one oi the song queehs
and is the daughter of Mrs. K. A. Brooks
of Salem, and a member of Chi Ojneja
sorority. She will welcome the grads fe
tuming to the campus for the 28th anniial
homecoming festivities Friday and Sat
urday. .

Willamette university alumni will retilrn "
to the campus Friday and Saturday for the
28th annual homecoming festivities. Open
house for alumni will be held at all the cam
pus living organizations, fraternities and sor
orities Friday night
On Saturday's schedule will be the annu
al homecoming alumni luncheon at Lausanne
hall at noon, which Willi be followed by the
Willamette-Lewis and Clark game. Charles
Barclay, secretary of the aumni, will be the
master of ceremonies at the luncheon. Edgar
Averill of Portland is president of the alumni
association and. Coach ; Chester SUckhouse
will be the gues't speaker.
Following the game an informal incep
tion will be held at Baxter hall for all Sumni
on the campus. Salem alumni are in charge
of arrangements with Mrs. Waldo Zeller
and Mrs. Otto SkopiL jr. heading the commit
tee. Saturday's activities will be climaxed with
the annual homecoming dance at the univer
sity gymnasium between ' 9 and 12 I cioc.
Freddie Keller and his band, currently play
ing at Jantzen beach ballroom In Portland,
wUl provide music for the dance, which is in
formal. "Whispering Shadows"; is the theme
of the decor, with Bob Muhr the chairmaji.
Several sorority groups will hold alum
nae gatherings over the weekend. The Ore
gon Gamma alumnae of Pi Beta Phi will", be
entertained by the actives at the annual home
coming breakfast on Sunday morning at ihe
chapter house at 9 o'clock. Miss Carolyn Bradj
heads the committee in charge of arrange-
meats. .; j .
